Mit TweetDeck kann man alles das tun, was man auch in Twitter selbst machen kann. Twittern, Retweeten, Nachrichten versenden, Favoriten (likes) speichern und ebenfalls anderen Twitterern folgen.<br />

Darüber hinaus kann man mit diesem Tool, mehrere Accounts verwalten und Tweets im Voraus planen (zeitversetztes senden), auch ohne online zu sein.<br />

Im Gegensatz zur einseitigen Ansicht der Twitter Seite selbst, teilt TweetDeck den Bildschirm in mehrere Spalten auf. In der Grundeinstellung hat man somit schon die gleichzeitige Übersicht über die Timeline, Meldungen, Benachrichtigungen und Trends.<br />
